The Health Insurance Continuation Program: 

HICP provides financial assistance to clients who meet the program’s eligibility criteria and maintain enrollment in an ADAP approved ACA Marketplace plan. HICP assists with co-payments, deductibles, and coinsurance.

To Clients:

Clients should confirm that Provider is willing to send an invoice to BRHPC or invoice the client directly. Client should contact the facility in advance to explain or inform the medical provider of the program and billing process. Tell the provider when scheduling the appointment, “I have a third-party payer (Broward Regional Health Planning Council) that helps me pay my health insurance co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles. Will you be willing to bill them directly on my behalf?”

To Providers:

In an effort to make payments for Provider Partner service(s), we are requesting a signed W9 to be sent via mail, email, or fax to the location listed below. Please note, without the Provider Partner’s W9, payments may be delayed.

As a reminder, for upcoming medical appointments please contact the HICP staff at least 48 hours prior to the date of the appointment to confirm clients’ eligibility status.

Another option is to list BRHPC as the secondary insurance to ensure claims come directly to HICP staff after the primary insurance has made the payment. Please contact us for additional information to utilize this process for expedited payment processing.
